Fladrafinil is a bis(phenylmethyl)sulfinyl derivative of modafinil, developed in France for wakefulness promotion and used off-label for its eugeroic and motivation-boosting properties with a lower risk of irritability compared to other stimulants (Lafon Labs Patent, 1980s).
Caffeine, a well-established adenosine receptor antagonist, boosts mental energy and reaction time (Nehlig et al., 1992), while L-Theanine, an amino acid found in green tea, counteracts overstimulation by promoting alpha brain waves and calm focus (Nobre et al., 2008).
